On Trial: Design Competition

I joined NUS store, “for students by students” themed design competition. Although none of them were selected, not even for voting, I would like to share them here, as a proof that I tried (to future-self)=D.

I was surely an amateur. I only used Power Point, Word and Excel =D

Take care of yourself

During pandemic, our perception of the time has changed, so the habits. We might all have experienced that taking care of yourself is crucial to maintain a healhty academic and social life. As living in NUS community, I would like to remind this to people of the campus.

More than you, city and university

Campus life in NUS is vibrant(e.g. depicted UTown campus)thanks to active student clubs and active support of the events by the managers. Since we are here, it would be better to not to miss the beauty of the campus while studying. A good university like NUS is more than grades, classes or campus.“Work hard, play hard”.

Do not let Imposter Syndrome in!

Some of us tend to criticize themselves a lot. This causes overlooking the person’s own value, abilities and past achievements. Moreover, it drains the person in the long run. I would like to emphasize that it is not a good habit, but in a fun way.

Shaping the future together

NUS has 5 core values: Excellence, Innovation, Resilience, Respect and Integrity. If you consider them as pieces of puzzles, they complete each other. However, the important factor here is the students, staff, academics and alumni as a big community. I depicted few figures from regular life of the students circling around these values in a “comic” style.

Unity is Strength

NUS has 5 core values: Excellence, Innovation, Resilience, Respect and Integrity. The multinational and multidisciplinary environment of the university is a good representation of this.

Unity is Strength-v2

NUS has 5 core values: Excellence, Innovation, Resilience, Respect and Integrity. Moreover, weaknesses and strengths are both our colors that makes us unique. The multinational and multidisciplinary environment of the university is a good representation of this.

Brief history of NUS we shaped together

Although NUS is 41 years old, roots might be little older, 117 years old. Since the establishment, many ideas, departments and and improvements have happened . On the other hand, I am a big fan of mind games and puzzles. In this 41x41 word-search puzzle, you can find 117 words I selected from online search catalogue of my understanding of NUS to fill . Let’s learn and have fun together!

Hope you enjoy my amateur designs !
